A real paradise on earth of rugged mountain peaks, turquoise-green rivers and and abundance of nature Slovenia if you haven’t guessed is becoming one of my favourite countries.
Lake Bled
For sure my #1 pick on this trip .
Lake Bled is a glacier-formed, crystal blue lake, known for its castle and panoramic views.

The circumference of the lake is 6 km . I rented a bike and I can honestly say that this is the most unique and enjoyable bike ride ever

Bled Castle ( above and below) is a medieval castle built on a precipice above the city of Bled in Slovenia, overlooking Lake Bled.

200 steps up and down
Vintgar Gorge is a deep canyon where a narrow mountain river has carved it’s way through the rocks creating breathtaking rapids, pools and falls. The river zigzags and snakes around as you walk on the wooden galleries and Wind your way over bridges The gorge culminates in a beautiful waterfall after which I hiked through a forest to catch a shuttle back to Bled . Here are some stunners

Train still Choo Choi’s on the bridge above

Sum waterfall where the gorge ends

Hiked a few Kms in the forest above to catch a shuttle . There are two more tougher paths for serious hikers . Enjoyed the gorge!
A DAY OF NATURE IMMERSION Picture-perfect cities with dragon bridges ( Ljubljana still have to write about it ) and castles with Fairy-tale-like lakes and now an experience called as the “Emerald River Adventure”Took a full day excursion in the Triglav National Park …
Twisty mountain roads , few hikes which my heart thanked me for but left me breathless a couple of times , amazing waterfalls, some truly stunning scenery the whole day and emerald green waters to be seen and enjoyed many times in the day ……… the most I have done in the mountains just enjoying bare and naked nature. Slovenia comes close to taking on Switzerland in my opinion for its pure and stark beauty. Tell me if I am exaggerating!!!!!!

Hiked to Pericnik Waterfalls, over 200 ft high
First time first time I walked around a fall. The picture below is from behind the fall.

Lake Jasna A man-made lake with surreal emerald colored water

Gorgeous views, wherever you looked all along the Julian Alps . Another hike above on the adventure filled day

Look at the emerald Soca river above and below

The country, the area is just pure beautiful wherever u turn ……period . Was dead tired at the end of the day and did not even want to budge out for dinner, but what a day. I don’t think I have walked or hiked so much in many many years. Great day
